Monterey Pine Cobra Bracing

We were undertaking a reduction on two Yew trees at a Grade 2 listed building (Capel Moriah) when we were asked for 'second opinion' on a mature Monterey Pine at the nearby lloyd George Museum. Local residents had been advised by a supposed tree surgeon that the tree was dangerous, and should be removed. Due to the intervention of Gwynedd Council and a professional Tree Survey by the highly competant TMN Arboriculture, it was established, as we had advised, that the tree did not need removing, or any intervention involving removal of any of the crown. TMN Arboriculture recommended the installation of a dynamic Cobra Bracing system, to help the tree support and adapt. Wildewood was pleased to be able to supply and install this system, ensuring the retention of this magnificent tree. So well done to the Maintenance Inspector at Gwynedd Council property Dept. and to TMN Arboriculture for coming up with a well advised plan that has saved this lovely tree for future generations. Wildewood Tree Services are providing free of charge 3 Sessile oak trees as part of a replacement planting scheme at the Lloyd George Museum to ensure that in many years to come people will be able to enjoy mature trees once these Monterey Pine have outlived there useful life.

So please be aware, if a 'tree surgeon' tells you your tree is 'dangerous, diseased', or whatever, check their qualifications. And preferably, get a survey undertaken by a reputable company.
