6 years ago, we came to this property to do some tree work on the river bank for the new owners. We joked with them that we would be back in a few years to remove this Ash that the previous owners had let the local Talybont cowboy loose on. As can be clearly seen, he 'topped' the tree, which almost certainly killed it.

With no vigour and a disabled immune system, the tree succumbed to attack by honey fungus, Armillaria mellea.
